The training of project leaders in construction is critical to getting jobs built on time and within budget while maintaining client relationships for the long term.
Building on the concepts learned in Field Leadership Level I, the Level II course continues a deeper dive into leadership, communication, and project management skills. Through a combination of education, hands-on workshops, and self-analysis assessments, this six-module program will help project leaders improve their effectiveness both by learning how to run projects more effectively and by providing hands-on, 2-day capstone activity. The “City Build Project” provides students the opportunity to apply what they have learned in Levels I & II in an interactive and engaging project building a scale city with six unique subcontracting companies.

Leadership and management are not the same. Level 2 begins by examining how they differ and what it takes to be a leader.
The farther you go in your career, the more important communication becomes. Up your skills in this session by learning and practicing how to communicate with those around you.
Leaders must learn to manage their time. In this session, we will focus on multiple ways to accomplish this and learn how to focus your attention as a leader on what matters.
Leaders are constantly negotiating. Learning to use both halves of your brain in the process is important to prevent simply compromising every time.
Learning leadership is one thing, putting it into practice is another. In this final two-day session, you will practice all you have learned in a hands-on and interactive capstone project. and you will get personal 1-1 coaching in the process.
