First aid & cpr training

First aid and CPR training empowers students to act with confidence in the event of an emergency at work, home, or in the community.

Course Description

WMCI is offering two separate class options. During class, students will learn the important, lifesaving skills of the most common first aid practices, CPR procedures, and how to use an AED (automated external defibrillator.)

First Aid Construction Stats


Improvement in survival rates when CPR is performed in the first few minutes of cardiac arrest.


Of the 41 Michigan workplace fatalities recorded so far in 2022, 26 occurred in construction.


The number of nonfatal construction industry injuries recorded in 2021 (down 208% from 2020.)


The number of deaths related to cardiovascular issues out of every 100,000 Michigan residents.
