The Carpentry curriculum helps students to build general carpentry skills, before moving into advanced topical coverage of framing and finish carpentry, as well as concrete and form carpentry.
The two-level Carpentry curriculum complies with the U.S. Department of Labor’s standards for apprenticeship programs, while also supporting shorter programs focused on specific carpentry career pathways.
General Carpentry teaches foundational entry-level skills for residential and commercial construction, with a focus on safety, quality workmanship, and hands-on learning.
Advanced Carpentry builds on foundational carpentry skills, emphasizing advanced techniques used in commercial construction. Students strengthen their ability to plan, frame, and finish building components while applying jobsite safety, code awareness, and quality workmanship expectations.
