Drywall

The Drywall curriculum covers a range of drywall skills for drywall installation and finishing, including wall and ceiling installation and placing insulation, soundproofing, and firestopping materials. The curriculum also covers applying internal and exterior textures and trims.   

The two-level Drywall curriculum also complies with the U.S. Department of Labor’s standards for Drywall Applicator apprenticeship programs.

Drywall 2

Drywall 2 builds on Drywall 1 by preparing students for more advanced commercial and specialty interior work. Students strengthen their ability to interpret construction documents and apply industry methods to complete complex framing and finish systems with an emphasis on safety, accuracy, and quality.

WMCI's Drywall 1 course

Drywall 1

Drywall 1 introduces students to the wall and ceiling trade, building foundational skills needed to install and finish gypsum board in residential and commercial settings. Students develop safe work habits and learn to select materials, manage thermal and moisture considerations, and produce industry-accepted finished surfaces.
