Thank you to all who participated in making the 2024 Tools for Tomorrow campaign a success!

Every skilled tradesperson has a unique ‘hardhat story.’

Each person’s path of how they got into the construction industry is unique. Some grew up in the trades; learning how to wield a hammer as soon as they were able to lift one. Others have taken the leap later in their career, attracted to the many benefits the industry offers.

And a steadily growing number of construction professionals start right here at the West Michigan Construction Institute.

What's your hard hat story?

October is Careers in Construction Month, the perfect opportunity to showcase your unique journey in the industry with the West Michigan community. We’re asking you to join us by sharing your story and supporting WMCI students who are just starting to build their own.

It’s easy! Here’s how:

What do WMCI donations support?

The West Michigan Construction Institute relies on the generous donations from our supporters to achieve it’s mission of “preparing the next generation of construction professionals for lifelong careers.”

Since opening our doors 2.5 years ago, our high school and adult craft student bodies have quintupled and tripled respectively! This means that more tools, books, and other supplies are needed to support the needs of our growing student body. In addition, WMCI also uses donations to create scholarship programs so that our courses are accessible to a wider, and often under-served, population.
