West Michigan Construction Institute is hosting its second annual middle school summer camp. We will be hosting three, 2-day sessions. We are so excited to introduce you to the world of construction!

The West Michigan Construction Institute is inviting middle school students entering grades 6-8 to attend the WMCI construction summer camp!

Hands on experience

Learn, construct, and create in 8 different trade-focused activities featuring welding, painting, concrete, carpentry and more!

Explore active job sites

Get outside and discover how buildings are made by visiting an active commercial construction job site on field trip day.

Participate in hands-on activities taught by West Michigan's top construction leaders.

Who is it for?

Students entering grades 6-8

When is it?

This summer we are running three summer camp sessions. Each session is comprised of two, activity packed days lasting from 8AM - 5PM. 

  • June 20 & 21
  • June 27 & 28
  • July 18 & 19

Where is it?

Right here at the West Michigan Construction Institute: 801 Century Ave SW, Grand Rapids

On field trip day, students will also travel (transportation provided) to a local job site. 

Is Lunch Provided?

Students will need to bring their own lunch each day. Some snacks will be provided.

How much does it cost?

$150 - includes snacks, camp shirt, and safety gear.

Dress Code

Campers must wear long pants and closed-toed shoes to camp every day. This is a safety requirement when working on a construction site. If your child does not arrive in long pants and closed-toed shoes, they will be sent home to change.
